Senior Administrative Coordinator

Jacob is the Senior Administrative Coordinator with Open Doors Organization. He is a recent graduate of Wabash College, graduating in 2024 with two BAs in both Spanish and German Language and Literature. His experiences in his degree programs inspired him to pursue a career in non-profit organizations to improve the lives of those in his community.
He began his non-profit work with Catholic Charities working as a Housing Locator through the remainder of their program. During his short 6 months, he developed a working list of over 800 landlords throughout the city of Chicago, compiling a list of habitable and affordable units for those living in the partnered shelters. At the end of his contract, he found himself seeking a position where he could continue his work helping others, eventually discovering Open Doors Organization.
Jacob offers his skills as a Spanish and German speaker to better reach the population who may not speak English, expanding the options provided to Open Doors Organization. He also brings a love of travel and the desire to help further the cause of improving transportation for persons with disabilities. Traveling has been life-changing for him, and he wants everyone to someday have equal opportunity to have the same experiences as he has.
