In addition to annual disability-related symposium for air carriers and service companies providing assistance in airports, Open Doors Organization hosts a biennial Universal Access in Airports (UAIA) conference. First held in 2006, UAIA brings together all interested parties from aviation and the disability community to share best practices and new technological solutions.   The next UAIA conference will be held in Seattle in October 2012.
